The Actors Fund has put out an emergency alert for all those who work in the performing arts and entertainment that are being affected by Hurricane Harvey. You can contact the Actors Fund for info on emergency financial assistance/resources. Texas residents should contact the Los Angeles office; Louisiana residents should contact the NYC office. See below for our phone number and email.

The Actors Fund provides free and confidential assistance nationally to everyone who works in performing arts and entertainment—including actors, dancers, musicians, stagehands, playwrights and many more. Whether you work on stage or on camera, behind the scenes or below the line, you can contact The Actors Fund for support.

  • The easiest way to find out if you are eligible is to contact the regional office nearest you. See their contact information below.
  • Emergency financial assistance requires an application, documentation of your professional earnings, and an interview.
  • Some programs, such as Career Transition For Dancers and Howl Emergency Life Project, have unique eligibility criteria.
