by Stage Directions

Chroma-Q® announces that it has acquired Jands Vista software and hardware lighting control systems.

Jands Vista has been providing customers and end users with control software and hardware through a strong partnership with its distributors in North America [A.C. Lighting Inc.] and in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa [A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd.] since 2004, where they relied on the A.C. Group for technical support and service.

Vista has been adopted by a large range of leading lighting designers, specifiers, rental and production companies, venues, shows, and events worldwide. Recognizing the potential for Vista lighting control systems in today's market, and its existing synergy with the A.C. Group and Chroma-Q, it was a logical move to have the Vista lighting control systems join Chroma-Q and have Vista products benefitting from the Chroma-Q in-house experience in building brilliant solutions.

Vista being acquired by Chroma-Q will improve long-term support and customer care of the brand and bring a whole new range of possibilities to the marketplace. Moving forward, new hardware design, development and manufacturing will be done in Toronto, Canada with the help of some specially hired R&D engineers. The software development will remain in Australia with its head developer and assistants, with new software developers being added to the team.

Vista by Chroma-Q
To coincide with the change, Vista will now be branded as Vista by Chroma-Q® and will herald the launch of exciting new software and hardware options.

Continuing to impress with its timeline, visual interface, speed, and ease of use, the Vista 3 software has been developed to dramatically enhance the existing feature set whilst also introducing a host of major new features such as; smart FX masters, the ability to merge multiple showfiles, a new color engine, improved fixture visualizations, and a vastly expanded command line interface. Alongside the release of Vista 3, Vista by Chroma-Q will also be announcing and showcasing two new control surfaces, the Vista MV and Vista EX.

Vista MV
The Vista MV is a cost effective, compact USB control surface, featuring 5 playback faders, 15 playback buttons, grand master control and 4 user definable function keys. The MV is a perfect entry control solution or expansion to an existing Vista system.

Vista EX
The Vista EX control surface offers additional hands-on control capabilities in a slim form factor. Stand-out features include, 12 faders, an incredible 60 playback buttons per page, 8 encoders and 12 function buttons.
