named Mary Ruth Coffey as its new executive director. Coffey, who most recently
worked as the director of institutional giving at the Old Town School of Folk
Music, will officially begin her appointment with ATC in September 2010.

CINCINNATI-Edward Stern, producing artistic director of the
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park since 1992, has announced that he will leave
the Playhouse at the end of the 2011-2012 season, which will also be his 20th
season."I am making this announcement now so that the Playhouse
Board of Directors has plenty of time to create a search committee, review a
broad range of applicants and choose the best candidate to move the Playhouse
forward," Stern explained.

The American Alliance for Theatre and Education named Lynne Kingsley as
executive director at their recent convention in San Francisco. The former New
York actress and fashion executive will be the American Alliance
for Theatre and Education’s (AATE) first Executive Director since the
organization was relocated to the Washington, DC area from Tempe,
AZ in 2003.

Jousting Champion Cynthia Morrison has recently accepted the position of
Theatrical Sword Technique Instructor for the Burt Reynolds Institute in
Jupiter Fla. Morrison will be teaching students sword fighting skills. Acting
students will learn basic stage and film swordplay principles with various type
swords, props and combat movement from Morrison.
