GLP Celebrates Anniversary and Releases X4 Bar at LDI

In addition to celebrating their 20th anniversary at LDI, GLP introduced three new additions to their Impression X4 line. The Impression X4 Bar 10 and X4 Bar 20 are batten lights that use 10 and 20 RGBW LEDs, respectively, to deliver smooth, homogenized output across the batten through a broad pallet of pastel and saturated colors. The Impression X4 XL is a moving-head wash fixture with 55 RGBW LEDs.

Brooklyn Theatre Arts HS Wins $10,000 Custom Main Stage Curtain from Rose Brand

Rose Brand named the Brooklyn Theatre Arts HS the winner in the Rose Brand “Rags To Riches” video contest. Brooklyn Theare Arts HS will receive a new custom main stage curtain valued at up to $10,000. The winning video featured the students of the high school singing about the woes of their current curtains to the tune of “My Favorite Things.” (It’s embedded after the jump, and well worth checking out.)

National Directors Fellowship Launches at Eugene O’Neill Theater Center

A joint endeavor between The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National New Play Network, and the Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation, the National Directors Fellowship is a five-year initiative “that will fast-track the professional development of 25 early-career stage directors, continuing the advancement of new artists and new plays in America.”
