Cast Software Announces Student Edition of Wysiwyg

Makeup Standard Released

PLASA published the new standard ANSI E1.55 - 2015, Standard for Theatrical Makeup Mirror Lighting, describing the topology of a makeup station in the era of LED light. The standard was developed at the behest of Actors’ Equity Association, as part of the Technical Standards Program’s “Common Goals” initiative, which aims to use their technical expertise to help other organizations in the entertainment industry.

2016 USITT Young Designers & Technicians Awards Accepting Nominations

Nominations are now open for the USITT 2016 Young Designers & Technicians Awards. Student and early career designers can be nominated for awards in sound, scenic, lighting, costume, and makeup design and technology, stage management, and technical production. In addition to a trip to USITT 2016 in Salt Lake City, most awards carry a $1,000 cash prize.
