GLP will set up a village environment at this year’s LDI 2017 expo in Las Vegas (November 17-19). The lighting giants will occupy booth #1173, adjacent to their primary suppliers, Cosmic Truss (#1377) and SceneX (#1373), situated across the aisle. The entire display will be bathed in a party atmosphere as GLP’s impression brand celebrates its 10th anniversary. The complete evolution of the family, from the original impression 90 onwards, will be displayed for the benefit of nostalgists.

Flex Theatre at Carroll College Upgrades to LED Lighting

The theater program at Carroll College in Helena, MT, has been producing wonderful productions for the last 35 years, in spite of entertainment technology that is at least that old. The program recently updated their 120-seat Flex Theatre with a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient Elation Professional LED lighting system that opens up all new possibilities for student creativity in the new theater space.

All three are part of a distinct companywide group of professional, highly-skilled cabling technicians, of whom TMB is justifiably very proud. Also, a matter of great pride at TMB is its Pro Cables division’s worldwide cabling staff of over 50, with an average tenure of close to eight years, representing over 400 years of combined experience!

On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 12:00 pm, The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), dedicated to championing women in theatre since its inception and an authority at the forefront of the conversation about gender parity in American theatre for 35 years, is proud to celebrate the legacy of Betty Corwin with a Special Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the American theatre. Corwin was the founder of the theatre archives at Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts.
