LD Jen Fok Uses Color to Capture Moments in Vietgone

Stage Directions

Jen Fok says that she enjoys making “large gestures” that mix color and shadow. She’s quite talented at creating these intense visual statements too, as evidenced by her work as the lighting designer on Qui Nguyen’s rollicking family saga Vietgone, which is running at the Boston Center for the Arts from April 26 through May 25. This production was directed by Michelle Aguillon and is presented by Company One Theatre in partnership with Pao Arts Center.

JR Lighting Design, Inc. is Now JRLX, Inc.

Stage Directions

JR Lighting Design, Inc. is now JRLX, Inc. “We are NOT a design firm and this rebranding is a great opportunity to tell our story of evolution,” says Director of Operations Kevin Rosenhagen. “Lighting is “in our DNA” - it is front-and-center - “LX” is a well-known industry abbreviation for “lighting”,” states JRLX, Inc. President Jason Reberski. “X” represents an unknown, defining variable – and that is EXACTLY what it will always represent for us – it can change as needed to encompass any industry discipline. We are solutions-driven and often integrate video, special effects, and custom fabrication elements for our touring and integration customers in addition to lighting. We have recently expanded our tour-prep/rehearsal and pre-viz facilities in Chicago and launched a multi-substrate printing and graphics department to assist our touring and production customers,” Reberski continues.
