Point Source Audio Announces Patents for Embrace Earmount Microphone

Point Source Audio® (PSA) announced that the U.S. Patent Office has issued two patents for PSA’s Embrace™ Earmount Microphone: Patent No. D786,220, which protects the design of PSA’s Embrace earmount, and 9,706,285, which covers the device, apparatus, system or method of use. The innovative design of Embrace allows microphones to be easily concealed and quickly custom-fitted for the wearer—providing a placement of the microphone that is consistent and stable.

On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 12:00 pm, The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), dedicated to championing women in theatre since its inception and an authority at the forefront of the conversation about gender parity in American theatre for 35 years, is proud to celebrate the legacy of Betty Corwin with a Special Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the American theatre. Corwin was the founder of the theatre archives at Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts.

The Black Box Theater at the Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University

The Moody Center for the Arts, which opened earlier this year on the campus of Rice University in Houston, TX, is a $30 million, 50,000 square-foot building dedicated to interdisciplinary conversations through the arts, bridging gaps between scientific, engineering, and humanities disciplines by providing spaces to facilitate collaborative ventures. The Moody, which was designed by Michael Maltzan Architecture, was recognized by the American Institute of Architects, California Council (AIACC) with an Honor Award, the most prestigious design award bestowed by the chapter and Fisher Dachs Associates was the theater consultant for the theater space.

With a long list of fairy tales that continue to find their place in the hearts of readers of all ages, it isn’t surprising that the H.C. Andersen Festival enjoys a growing popularity. This year’s festival, held this past August, included over 700 events with the city's main square the scene of the festival’s nightly show.
