Sound Designer, Nick Lidster on Jesus Christ Superstar at Lyric Opera of Chicago

The Lyric Opera of Chicago recently staged a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar that was originally staged in Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in London. The production had to be completely reimagined for the Lyric Opera, a venerable, high-ceilinged space with its own set of challenges. Sound designer Nick Lidster from Autograph in London, used a full complement of Martin Audio MLA Compact and CDD-LIVE supplied by OSA International, Inc. in his design for the Chicago production.

A Full House for Barbizon Lighting’s Small Format LED Fixture Showcase in NYC

Barbizon Lighting recently hosted a private event for designers, consultants, and other specifiers of small format LED fixtures for theatre, museum/gallery, broadcast/film, and retail applications. The majority of fixtures shown were less than 75 watts of power and could be single or multi-color. Fixtures from over 25 manufacturers were divided into three stations: wash/Fresnel, profile/spot, and panel.
