Designer Rosie Elnile Wins at The Stage Debut Awards

At the inaugural The Stage Debut Awards in central London, Robe sponsored the award for Best Designerwhich was won by Rosie Elnile for her eye-catching set on The Convert, staged at The Gate Theatre. The judges commented that Rosie’s striking red earth and concrete set for The Convert “made effective and impressive use of the Gate’s compact space”. Robe’s theatre project specialist Dave Whitehouse presented the Best Designer award to Elnile.

The New Flea Theater Space Opens September 28

On Thursday, September 28, 2017, The Flea Theater, the 21-year-old off-off-Broadway theater known for “raising a joyful hell in a small space”, will unveil its new home at 20 Thomas Street. The new performing arts center was designed by ARO, Architectural Research Office and built by Westerman Construction Company, and features three small theaters under one roof, each space with a unique design and multiple uses.
