The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, located in Charlotte, NC, wanted to update its lobby spaces as part of a larger refresh project. They wanted to streamline the theater lobby in a way that would allow guests a seamless experience prior to and during theater performances using digital signage to market upcoming shows and detail concession stand offerings.

ZerOS RigSync from Zero 88 Wins PLASA Innovation Award

Eaton’s Zero 88 lighting control brand was awarded a PLASA 2017 Award for Innovation for its RigSync feature, a feature available with the latest version of its ZerOS console software. RigSync demystifies the work of DMX addressing for console users, allowing them more time to focus on being imaginative while the technical elements sort themselves out via the console communicating with the lighting rig.

These 58 recipients will receive the 2017 50/50 Applause Award, for producing 50% or more plays by women playwrights in their 2016/17 season.

The jury made the following comment for the award: “A new approach to accurate color rendering starting at chip level rather than manipulating existing sources.”
