Where do babies come from? For Robert O'Hara's Mankind at Playwrights Horizons, they come from gold paint and lots (and lots) of foam; two 4'x8' sheets of foam, in fact. The finished prop was 14.6-ft. long and weighed in at 325 lbs! Check out this video of Props Artisan Patrice Escandon and Assistant Sculptor, Boyce Cummings creating the large baby for Mankind.

This big baby has been getting a lot of attention lately. Since the show closed, the baby was offered up on Craigslist and has been seen taking a rolling tour of NYC to its new home. So far, the adoptive parents are being kept a secret.
