Strong Lighting and Phoebus Manufacturing announced that the full line of Phoebus followspots and searchlights will now be sold, serviced, and manufactured by Strong Lighting. Effective March 15, 2018 Strong will assume all operations, sales, and support associated with one of the industry’s foremost family of followspots and searchlights.

The Strong followspot, Syncrolite, and SkyTracker product lines currently being manufactured at Strong Lighting’s headquarters will now welcome the Ultra Quartz II, Ultra Arc II, i-Marc, i-Chip, Titan, and various searchlight models to its production line. Phoebus product support and repairs will be provided by Strong Lighting’s team of lighting experts while parts and replacement lamps will be shipped from their own centrally located facility in Omaha, NE.

“The Phoebus name is familiar to everyone in the entertainment lighting industry and Strong Lighting is proud to be in a position to carry that tradition forward and take Phoebus products to the next level,” commented Paul Rabinovitz, President of Strong Lighting. “Our deep knowledge of followspots and searchlights and our commitment to customer service makes this move a win-win for Strong Lighting and all past and future Phoebus customers.”

When asked to comment, John Tedesco, founder and President of Phoebus said, “This marks a great moment in the history of Phoebus. Placing my products in the hands of the team at Strong Lighting ensures that our many past customers will receive the support they need and that a new generation of customers will have continued access to our unique products. I see great things ahead for both the Phoebus products and customers.”

The Strong Lighting and Phoebus Manufacturing union will be on full display, in Booth #719 at the USITT Expo March 15-17 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. If you are attending the show, make a special effort to come by and learn about the all new i-Chip 150 LED followspot and the Fine 350 and 800 metal halide followspots being introduced at the show.
