R. Scott Phillips Announces Retirement from Utah Shakespeare Festival

R. Scott Phillips, the first full-time employee of the Utah Shakespeare Festival and currently its executive director, has announced his retirement. He will remain with the Festival until March 1, 2017 to help the transition to his successor. Phillips was hired as director of marketing and public relations in 1977, became managing director in 1990, and executive director in 2007.

Sara Garonzik to Leave Philadelphia Theatre Company

After 35 years, Sara Garonzik will leave the Philadelphia Theatre Company during the 2016-2017 season, after a replacement has been found. Under Garonzik’s stewardship, Philadelphia Theatre Company produced 30 world premieres. Garonzik also sits on the Mayor’s Cultural Advisory Council, the Advisory Boards of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, and PlayPenn, a play development organization. After she leaves PTC she will remain in Philadelphia and pursue consulting and independent producing.

Jake Halverson, new sales administrator for Riedel’s North America team

Riedel Hires Jake Halverson

In order to keep up with increasing sales in North America, Riedel has added Jake Halverson as sales administrator. Halverson will be responsible for the efficient handling of sales orders in support of outside sales staff  and more. He comes to Riedel from PRG, where he served as the used equipment sales manager.
