PLASA CEO Resigns

Matthew Griffiths, CEO of PLASA for 17 years, announced plans to step down Oct. 31, according to a letter written by John Simpson, White Light founder and chair of PLASA's governing body, and distributed to PLASA members on Aug. 21. “Matthew Griffiths has decided that now is the right time to step aside which would help kick start and facilitate a fresh set of ideas and approaches needed for the next chapter in PLASA's development,” Simpson noted. Tim Caroll Named AD of Shaw Festival

Tim Carroll will be the next artistic director of the Shaw Festival, taking over officially on Dec. 1, 2016. Among his other credits, while he was the associate director of Shakespeare’s Globe in London, Carroll’s productions of Twelfth Night and Richard III enjoyed record-breaking runs in London’s West End and a Tony Award-winning visit to Broadway.
