Changes and Additions in Yamaha’s Marketing Team

Yamaha promoted Marc Lopez to the position of director of marketing for Yamaha Commercial Audio. Lopez will be responsible for all the marketing aspects of Yamaha’s CA products. Yamaha also hired Sorrell Hanson as their new marketing communications manager for their Pro Audio division. 

Yamaha Professional Audio Division Promotes Lopez, Adds Marcomm Manager

BUENA PARK, Calif. (September 13, 2016)— Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio Division has announced the promotion of Marc Lopez to the position of director of marketing for Commercial Audio (CA), responsible for all marketing aspects of CA products.

In 1997, Lopez began his Yamaha career as an applications specialist for Yamaha digital mixers and later as software product manager. Prior to his promotion to director of marketing, he held the position of marketing manager for Yamaha Commercial Audio for ten years.

In other Yamaha staff news Sorrell Hanson has joined the company in the role of marketing communications manager for the Pro Audio Division. Sorrell has 14 years of marketing experience that includes email and web marketing, social and digital campaigns, website management, marketing promotions, and project management. As marketing communications manager, Hanson will be responsible for managing the various marketing campaigns for print, email, social media and digital opportunities and will report directly to Marc Lopez.
