USITT Announces Recipients of the 2015 YDT Awards

Naomi Crews

USITT named the 11 winners of the 2015 Young Designers & Technicians in the Performing Arts. The annual YD&T Awards give young theatrical designers and technicians a leg up in their careers, come with free registration to USITT’s Annual Conference & Stage Expo and up to $1,000 in cash prizes from sponsors of the awards.

One surprise from the awards: NO ONE nominated a student for an award in Sound Design -- so no sound design student won the award. Students -- approach your mentors and professors about nominating you next year. And sound design professors: Step it up to help your talented students get the recognition they deserve!
