A Look at the Subtle, Intentional Anachronisms Scenic Designer Sandra Goldmark Put into The Book of Will Set Design at DCPA

In this Part 2 video, The Book of Will Scenic Designer Sandra Goldmark talks about subtle, intentional anachronisms tucked throughout her playful set for the DCPA Theatre Company's The Book of Will. Why is there a red car on that shelf, when the story is set in 1623? "We are trying to create a very rich world that has a link from today all the way back to Shakespeare's time," said Goldmark. "None of it is real. It's all fake. It's all a story, and that's the fun. We are creating our own version of real, and our version of real has bobble-head dolls." The world-premiere play runs through February 26 in the Ricketson Theatre at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
