Broadway Takes A Bow At Thanksgiving Day Parade

by Kathy Eddy

When the 91st Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parage passes 34th Street Broadway will be there with show-stopping (parade-pausing) performances. A staple of the iconic Thanksgiving Day tradition since the late 70's Broadway shows will once again perform numbers in front of Macy's 34th street entrance. This year will include performances by several Broadway shows including the 2017 Tony winner for Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen, Anastasia, Once On This Island, and SpongeBob SquarePants, Come From Away and Waitress. In 1995 Carol Channing and the Broadway Revival Cast of HELLO DOLLY! sing "Before the Parade Passes By" for the NBC Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
