The 2018 Olivier Awards and the Work of Paul Brown

The Olivier Awards 2018 with Mastercard ceremony took place were held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday, April 8 and hosted by Catherine Tate. Established in 1976, the Olivier Awards celebrate the world-class status of London theatre. Best Lighting Design winner Howell Binkley, for Hamilton, became the first American LD to have won two Oliviers for lighting design. We congratulate all the nominees and winners. the list of design awards is below. 

Also among all the well-deserving nominations was the Outstanding Achievement in Opera for the late Paul Brown for his inventive designs for costumes and set of the English National Opera's production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera Iolanthe. Brown sadly passed away in November of 2017. Below is a look at his beautiful work.
