LONDON — Two cast members in the London revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat were injured during technical rehearsals. The two performers had their toes crushed by a moving staircase. The show’s spokesperson reported that the performers were not seriously injured and have returned to rehearsals after treatment.

Three West End shows cancelled their evening performances following a bomb alert in central London on Friday, June 29. The venues that were affected by police blocking the area around Haymarket near Piccadilly include the Comedy, Haymarket, Prince of Wales, Criterion and Her Majesty’s theatres. The Last Confession at Theatre Royal Haymarket, The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s and Mamma Mia! all canceled performances.
