RCCU 2016:

Teaching Classical Commedia dell'Arte since 2001 as close to its original form as we believe it was performed in the 1500's and 1600's. Students develop their personal historical Commedia dell'Arte characters and style with their individual qualities. You will easily see how this work from the 1500's is vibrantly alive and is used today.

Areas this workshop will concentrate on:
Commedia dell'Arte characters
Their movement, gesture, history of the characters, improvisation, lazzi, mask work, physical skills, prop manipulation, rhythm, scatology, scenario work, and more; all integrated.
Arlecchino
Pantalone
Dottore
Capitano
Brighella
Lovers

Rhythm is vital in the Commedia dell'Arte
Michela Musolino will be a special guest teacher, teaching Sicilian and Southern Italian tambourine and dance.

Scenario & Improvisation
