Cuelist Wants to Help You Work Through This Tough Time

Stage Directions • Industry NewsTools of the Trade • March 23, 2020

Josh Epstein, designer and developer of Cuelist, an innovative, digital collaboration tool for live events, would like to help people communicate during the COVID-19 shutdown. Here’s information from the company on how they can help people connect and work together more efficiently.

As designers and educators, we completely understand how hard the uncertainty of the last couple of weeks has been on the live entertainment industry and how challenging the situation looks to be moving forward. We have personally had multiple projects cancel and we are right there with you — hoping our industry will be able to come out of this soon.

We created Cuelist as a way to facilitate in-person collaboration and as a green solution for production and tech. But it also works extremely well as a unique way for individuals to collaborate digitally in real-time over long distances. As such, a number of universities have reached out in the last week to ask us about subscriptions in order to facilitate online learning and theoretical projects as they adjust and adapt their curriculum. We would like to be of help as we all figure out things together

Therefore, Cuelist is offering the following changes to get through the tough months ahead:

  • For all Educational and Institutional subscriptions, we are offering unlimited collaborators through the month of June. The goal is to help departments get through the end of the academic year in a cost-effective way. You need only subscribe to our base plan and then let us know how many active users you need. (At the end of June, active users will automatically return to normal plan settings.) If you are already subscribed and need more active users, just let us know.
  • Individual subscriptions will now have the FREE TRIAL period extended to last either 30 days or until June 15, whichever comes later.
  • Individual subscriptions also now have a new student-pricing option. Students need only subscribe using a “.edu” email address and put the coupon code STUDENTRATE in for our discount pricing. The reduced price is $49/annually or a monthly fee of $4.95. And, this rate will be good for four years starting from whenever you activate your account — regardless of future student status.

Cuelist is a small family-run company and we depend on satisfied users to spread the word. If Cuelist is working for you, please let your fellow students, colleagues, and collaborators know. The more subscribers we have, the more we can invest in development and continue to grow this innovative software.

Thanks for your support, and best wishes to all for a safe and healthy spring.

– Josh Epstein and Beth Johnson
