What Will the Neighbors Say? Announce Resident Artists

The Brooklyn-based theater company, What Will the Neighbors Say? (WWTNS) announces its first cohort of resident artists, all of whom have worked with the company for many years. They formally welcome Costume and Scenic Designer, Johanna Pan who will be the Resident Production Designer; Lighting Designer, Elizabeth M. Stewart who is now the Resident Lighting Designer, and Multimedia Artist, Pablo Calderón Santiago is now the Resident Documentarian.

Johanna Pan is a Costume & Scenic Designer for theatre, film, dance, and opera. Born and raised in Singapore, she is currently based in New York City. She first discovered theatrical design when competing in the creative thinking competition Odyssey of the Mind in Secondary 3 (9th Grade) and has never looked back. She is a proud feminist, lover of vintage clothing, and all related to the textile arts. Elizabeth M. Stewart is a New York City-based Lighting Designer whose work has been seen in New York, London, Philadelphia, and more, in venues ranging from art gallery basements to Off-Broadway theatres. Stewart is an Associate Consultant for Charcoalblue LLC, and an alumna of New York University – Tisch School of the Arts. Pablo Calderón Santiago is a multimedia artist born and raised in Puerto Rico. In 2015 he received a BA in film production with a focus in film photography from Emerson College. He’s currently based in Brooklyn and works doing lighting and tech for fine art, editorial, and commercial photoshoots. Pablo started his creative life as an actor with Puerto Rican theater collective Jovenes del ’98 as well as appearances on TV and commercials. Outside of photography, Pablo has directed shorts, music videos, and conducted research and translation for feature-length documentaries.
