It is a strange and trying time for all of us in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We certainly understand times are tough for you, as they are for us. We have been proud to bring Stage Directions for free all these many years and we will continue to provide you with complimentary subscriptions during the pandemic. However, we would like to ask in these difficult times that you consider a small donation to help support our efforts here at Stage Directions as we work to keep our industry up to date by providing you with a continuous stream of current and vital information when it is needed, today more than ever, to keep us all in the theater community connected.
Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire are pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from the Cultural Organization Economic Recovery Grant Program through the Massachusetts Cultural Council to support economic recovery from losses sustained by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program is part of the Baker-Polito Administration’s Economic Recovery Plan.
BTG Executive Director, Nick Paleologos says, “We are so grateful to the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Senator Adam Hinds for this important grant which represents a strong vote of confidence from the state in the work we managed to do during the unprecedented COVID Summer of 2020. The MCC’s long-standing support and encouragement continues to be a source of great inspiration to our organization.”
The Mass Cultural Council (MCC) is a state agency that promotes excellence, inclusion, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences, fosters a rich cultural life for all Massachusetts residents, and contributes to the vitality of our communities and economy.
