NEW YORK — The Broadway Speakers Bureau, an educational initiative of The League of American Theaters and Producers, will benefit from one performance of the new family musical, Count To Ten, which is slated for a limited run at the 14th Street Theater. Over half of the proceeds from the Wednesday, June 27, 8:00 p.m., performance will go to The League’s Broadway Speakers Bureau, a unique educational program that encourages young people to explore non-performance careers in theater.
The Broadway Speakers Bureau is only one of several academic programs, designed by The League, to ensure an audience for live theater in the future. The program connects high school and college students with panels of experts in various aspects of the professional theater, including producers, general managers, press agents, marketers, and similar industry professionals.
The show’s book and lyrics are by Michael Blevins, Beth Clary, music is by Michael Blevins, Scott Knipe, Bruce Sacks and David Wollenberger. Group Theatre Too’s, Justin Boccitto is executive producer; Michael Blevins is director and choreographer.
